When I was a student at ABAC 30 years ago, I really didn't spend a lot of time thinking about the president of the college and how he spent his hours on the job. I'm sure you're the same way.
Thirty years later as the president of this great place we call ABAC, my perspective has certainly changed.

Reporters who enter a wartime situation face certain uniquely inherent problems. These trials are undeniably unique because no one living under the flag of peace could even begin to understand what these individuals must face. Reporters on the streets of Chicago might face being gunned down while covering a story on gang wars.

A man famous enough to quote, but not famous enough to remember once said, "All it takes for evil men to prevail is for good men to do nothing".
I've heard it before, but never put it into context. It's curious, when those commercials come on light night television talking about starving African children, how for my cup of coffee in the morning, I can educate, feed, cloth, and essentially save a human being, I turn the channel.

They say that life is like a roller coaster, filled with ups and down, twist and turns, cries and laughs, and sometimes, even screams. I must agree with that because my first two years of college have been quite the ride.
It all began with the last minute decision to come to ABAC, which may have been the best decision of my life.

ABAC is, for all intents and purposes, shaping up to be quite a diverse and expansive institution that offers more and more to students of all backgrounds and interests.
In the three years that I have attended this college, I have seen the leveling of the old (and in my humble opinion quite run-down) dorms to the construction of ABAC Place, which frankly offers nicer digs than I got (but that's besides the point).
