Dancing with the Stars returns for 8th season

The highly anticipated eighth season of "Dancing with the Stars" returns with more cast members, bigger celebrities, and a new twist for this season's viewers. According to Nielsen Sound scan, "Dancing with the Stars" is an ABC hit, receiving an average of 24 million viewers each night.

WPLH to hold on-air dating game

The ABAC radio station, WPLH, has decided to include a dating game on the station's broadcasting schedule. One reason why the station is doing this is to increase the number of listeners of the station. "It's never been done before," Keith Perry, advisor of WPLH, said.

Pegasus makes great progress in preparation for publication

Short a leader and lacking many expected submissions, Jeff Newberry, Assistant Professor of English at ABAC in progress of a doctoral degree in Creative Writing, is passed the leading reigns of ABAC's annual literary magazine Pegasus. "His have been giant shoes to fill," Newberry states in reference to the recent departure of Herbert Shippey, a previous Professor of English and Advisor of Pegasus.

Student Success Center is now offering many new programs

The Student Success Center (SSC) is creating new programs, as well as expanding the older programs along with at least 15 other major projects under construction. "Our plan is to expand and continue to grow," Donald Parks, the Director of Student Success, said.

RHA: The place where all opinions are needed

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) has been successful with club participation, but they lack attendance where they need it the most, the Hall Council meetings. "If students do not come and voice their opinions and proposals for improvement, proposals will not be made for the change students want to see," Sharon Sims, RHA advisor, said.

The Family and Consumer Sciences Club is back at ABAC

The Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) Club has traditionally been thought of as merely cooking and sewing, but the members of the FACS club here at ABAC are proving all of the stereotypes to be wrong. The main goal of the FACS Club is to promote a better understanding of Family and Consumer Sciences through different activities and programs.

The movie takes place in Mumbai, India, where a poor boy named Jamal Malik, played by Dev Patel, goes on the hit show "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire," not to win the money, but to reconnect with his lost love instead.

ALBUM REVIEW-- 'Rock N Roll Jesus' - Kid Rock

Over the years, Kid Rock has earned the reputation of being a bad boy with a rough exterior and equipped with attitude to spare. On his new CD, "Rock N Roll Jesus," Kid Rock maintains his tough attitude and mixes in just the right amount of fun. Virtually the whole world was exposed to his first release off the album called "All Summer Long," which was an instant hit.

GAME REVIEW-- 'Street Fighter IV'

Capcom has managed to strip away the baggage that has accumulated around the "Street Fighter" series over the years and returned to the franchise's roots with its latest installment, "Street Fighter IV" for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The presentation is generally well polished and clean, with both the 360 and PS3 versions performing almost identically.

MOVIE REVIEW-- 'Madea Goes to Jail'

"Madea Goes to Jail" is not about Madea. She's a smoke screen, a lure, a wriggling worm on a hook used to trick people into sitting through yet another of Tyler Perry's unbearable, ball-less soap operas. This time he's preaching about the dangers of prostitution.
