The comedy movie to see in November was "Role Models." Sad, pathetic, morbid souls filled mediocre sounding film this movie wit complete hilarium.
"Role Models" is about two guys who work for an energy drink company. Their job entails them to go to schools and tell the students that the drinks are healthy even when they know the drinks are practically poison.
The casting directors did an amazing job picking this comedic set of actors.
Paul Rudd from the movie "Clueless," also helped write "Role Models," and plays Danny Donahue, a depressed, selfish guy. Donahue feels unsuccessful because he's worked at the same dead end job for ten years. Seann William Scott from the "American Pie" movies plays Wheeler, the least smart of the two who loves his job and has an obsession with breasts. The infamous McLovin from "Superbad," Christopher Mintz-Plasse is also in the film doing what he does best, which is playing a complete nerd known as Augie.
Although I thought it was funny before I watched it after seeing the previews, I had mediocre expectations for "Role Models." Yes, the previews were funny in so many ways, but the film just looked so predictable. If you've watched the previews you probably already know what going to happen in the end.
(SPOILER ALERT) I thought it whats going to be the same old cliché, two guys get community service, hate it, then end up liking it, and it was. When it all boils down this film is not about what happens in the plot behind it or the final scene. It's about the jokes, and the characters.
This film includes some of the best characters from the funniest movies, such as McLovin, Stiffler, and the creepy boss from " The 40-year old Virgin." These three actors are so much like their characters from previous movies in a different situation, and that really adds to this film.
The one thing that really kicks off the movie is when they are introduced to their form of community service. They have to be Biggs for "Sturdy Wings" which is sort of like big brothers and sisters. Their boss, Jean Sweeney, is a crazy lady played by Jane Lynch.
Another thing that I really enjoyed about this film is the fact that these two adults are in many ways like their littles. In a way it sort of shows that people don't really change, they just mature, yet Wheeler and Danny may be poor examples of maturity.
This is really one of those movies your friends will take jokes from. Although this film has young people in the cast, it doesn't mean young people should watch this movie. It's rated R because of language and nudity.
