There are a lot great things about living on campus, especially ABAC's campus. When you live on campus you are never bored. There is always something to do. Your friends are close, you gain great social skills from meeting diverse people from all different kinds of places, and there is freedom to do what you want when you want.
Depending on what you pay, you can get a room to yourself and you can come and go as you please. It's like you have your very own place. Here are the top three reasons why it is good to stay on campus.
1). Ease of access to the school and all of its activities.
Everything that happens on campus can easily be seen and everything is in walking distance. If you live on campus, you can walk to classes, the library, computer labs, and the cafeteria. You save time and money as opposed to driving to school. It is better without having to worry about finding a parking space, or other troubling dilemmas.
2). You'll find yourself forming a social life.
Living on campus lets you meet more people and begin new friendships as opposed to if you were to live off campus. Living in a dorm means that there will always be someone close to you to hang out with. The dorms are a great place to meet new people. Some of these people will turn into lifelong friends.
You will also regularly be aware of any and every campus activity that the school has to offer. There are many activities around campus, which students and residents can participate in.
3). There are no monthly bills.
If you live on campus, you don't have to be bothered about monthly rent payments, utility bills, or grocery shopping. Most students who live in a dorm get a meal plan in order to make eating easy. There are three or more meals a day available to you and a majority of your friends will be around you instead of being a good distance away.
Everybody has their own reasons as to why they should live on or off campus. The biggest benefit of living on campus is that all of your responsibilities are paid for. Whether that means out of grants, loans, or your parents is a totally different story, but either way it goes, living on campus is definitely the best solution. Living on campus means you are right near all your classes. You can easily get up in pajamas and sprint to class before its too late, as opposed to someone who is living off campus and wakes up late. There is a smaller chance for students to miss classes living on campus, versus off campus.
I will say that there are some bad things about living on campus. For instance, you might not have the best roommates in the world. There are roommates that eat all of your food. They might not buy things for the dorm such as cleaning supplies, tissues and things like that. They might be inconsiderate, and do things such being noisy, or not cleaning up after themselves. There are a lot of things you can go through with roommates.
