What if the world were backwards? Life would drastically change in many ways if humans were born into the world as adults. If we knew everything in the beginning, I feel life would be a little easier. We would still be imperfect, just a whole lot better in our imperfections.

In the film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," Benjamin's body aged backwards and his mind forward, which later took another turn back into childhood. What if we came out the womb able to speak and learn rapidly as our bodies grew?

Maybe if we were born into the world knowing all there is to know about life, we would know exactly what paths to take to accomplish each goal we have set before us.

In relationships each mate would know what to do to please or satisfy the other. They could also read the signs of an unfaithful partner a lot easier. Neither partner could out-smart the other. Every situation you might face together would be easier to handle. Each would know exactly what and when to say certain things.

Friendships would most likely have more trust within the circle of peers. We would be able to know what bothers our friends without their words or facial expressions telling us.

Humans might actually be able to attain information and knowledge a lot longer. As we grew older at heart and younger at mind, our lives would probably seem a lot more accomplished. It would be as if we had more time to really live and experience everything we wanted to without the fear of failing. Fear keeps many of us from chasing our dreams. It holds us back and we wait for someone else to step ahead of us and say it is okay, go for it.

When we reach the point of crossing back over into childhood we would most likely mellow out and live a lot more freely as we see children do today. Some things would not matter to us anymore.

Children tend not to care much about what is going on around them. True, they are interested, but they live in their own world. They love and give freely as we all should, but, being the way we are now, we lose that knowledge and by the time some learn it again life is almost over.

We would leave this world truly happy and carefree just as a child. No suffering would be apart of this last transition. We would one day lay down for a nap with a smile and that would be it.

I am in no way saying God made a mistake in creating us this way. He knew exactly what he was doing before he did it. Until I know exactly why not the other way around, I'll hold onto these thoughts about the way we were made to live.
